Our people
Of course, behind every successful company is a group of talented, energetic and determined people. REaD Group is no exception.

It’s a cliché of course (for which we apologise) but without our people we are nothing.  From the very start a strong ethos of trying to deliver what our client needs has shaped the team that we are today. We have a strong sense of who we are and what we want to do making it somewhat easier to identify those that will fit not the culture. The team is regarded by many as one of the most talented, experienced and knowledgeable in the industry.

Mark founded the business in 1991 on a strong and clear ethos –  of making clients more successful and doing it with honesty and integrity and the rest will follow – that remains as strong today as it was 25 years ago.

Having pretty much invented suppression and the data hygiene industry he is today one of the industry’s most well-known and recognisable people.  Having Chaired the Data Council for 6 years there is no stone unturned in his data repertoire. A regular media commentator on data, privacy and business, his focus is on keeping the REaD Group brand at the forefront of everyone’s mind.  He has also become one of the foremost authorities on the new GDPR due to come into force in May 2018.

Mark Roy

Probably the data industry’s best known and most successful leader.

Having started life as programmer at Nat West, to starting his own business Altwood systems in 1992, through leading some of the UK’s largest data companies.  Having built and disposed of a number of businesses over the last 15 years, his real skill is in growing revenues alongside margin and asset value. He does this by immersing himself into the heart of the business and building enviable management teams around him.

Jon Cano-Lopez

A true legend in his own lifetime.  Having left school at 15, set up his own business by 20, created EuroDirect at 40.  He founded, built and disposed of the UK’s 3rd credit reference agency, Call Credit.

He led Call Credit to become one of the Sunday Times’ 100 most profitable companies. Regarded by many as one of this country’s most astute business minds.

As CFO Paul provides the knowledge and experience required to ensure that the company grows, invests and grows some more – safely.

A Chartered Accountant and a degree qualified management scientist.  He brings a blisteringly honest & realistic approach to business, perhaps the product of having worked as part of Bob Geldofs’ finance team at Planet 24.  Paul lives in London with his French wife and two children.

Paul Lenton
Chief Financial Officer

A most unusual lawyer in that every waking moment is spent creating and devising new ways to facilitating business progression.

Having been at the sharp end of a number of significant M&A transactions, including most recently the sale of Whitehead Mann to Korn Ferry.  Jo has built a deserved reputation for being a voracious “voice of reason” around the board room table.

Jo McEachern
Head of Legal and HR

Dean is responsible for leading the client services team, ensuring the delivery of the very highest levels of service to REaD Group’s clients, while also expanding the company’s extensive portfolio.

Dean has been integral to REaD Group’s growth since joining as a graduate over 10 years ago and will now be key part of its future. His aptitude for understanding client challenges and building relationships has resulted in numerous accolades over his decade-long career at REaD Group. He was awarded employee of the year in 2009, shortly before being promoted to Bureau Sales Manager. He also won the Database Marketing Rising Star Award in 2011 whilst working as Head of Bureau Sales.

Dean joined REaD Group in 2006, taking up a graduate position in its meta-morphix division.  He progressed quickly, carefully nurturing high profile clients through the global crash and worked his way up through the company. He worked particularly closely with Macmillan Cancer Support and a number of supermarkets and was a key figure in implementing meta-morphix’s unique automated data processing software, INLINE.

Clive Rumsey

Scott has been a stalwart of the Direct Marketing industry for the last 2 decades, as well as being Chair of the Direct Marketing Association for 4 years.

A 1st Class honours graduate in Statistics means he thinks that being a geek is cool! (really he does!) BUT, what he can do with data, needs to be seen to be believed.  Not just a statistician he has a significant track record of leading businesses through significant change to successful outcomes.

Scott Logie
Managing Director of Engagement

Simon has spent his life in data delivery.  Running some of the busiest production floors in the industry.  He is the man that makes sure that things get built the way they should then delivered on time and correctly.

He can dissect a process to a minute level and then rebuild it in a way that will deliver new efficiencies and improvements – every business needs someone like Simon!
